Stocking Gift Card

Hello my friends, today I made a couple of stockings to hold gift cards … They’re quick & easy but made with a whole lot of love & with a little extra “love” tucked inside.

I found this pattern here at Waltzing Mouse Stamps. You can copy it & print it out & then use any scraps of ribbon or lace or DP or flowers that you like to embellish them. I’m going to be making more of these to keep on hand to send to my daughters or grandkids. Who doesn’t enjoy a little “love” from home once in awhile …

When you open it up you can tuck a gift card or cash inside the “pocket” …

I had to hold this one closed with a paper clip so I could take a picture … I bought some Velcro circles today from JoAnn’s today & will attach a small bit to the inside flap to keep it closed …

I actually sewed around the 1st stocking with my tiny Janome sewing machine but forgot to do this one until I’d glued it together then it was too late.   I cut the stocking parts out of the solid color then embossed them with my Cuttlebug to give them a little added texture.  I used some beautiful red & burgandy velvet papers & a Marianne Creatables Poinsettia die that I bought from my LSS Memory Lane. I’m adding a link to them to my side bar of favorite places I’m spending my children’s inheritance … Sorry my favorite ladies !!! But this makes me “Happy” &  Jay says if it makes me happy I should buy it !!! Guess I’ll be working till I’m 92 to keep supporting my “addiction” & keep me happy !!!
That’s it for tonight & I’d love it if you’d leave a comment so I’ll know you were here …

Secretive Tilda

I made this card for a special young lady that’s in the Air Force & won’t be home for Thanksgiving. My grandaughter Ashley just joined the ranks of the Military & will graduate from basic training next month … I hope this little card will let her know how much I love & miss her & wish we could all be together for this Thanksgiving …

h’Anglar Girl meets Digi papers

P1010802
Now that’s a “BAD” combination !!! ( Meant in s GOOD way) ………One friend stamped me a few of my favorite h’Anglar images & several other friends kept mentioning digi papers until I finally caved it & gave them a try. Oh my GOODNESS !!! Are they ever addicting !!! These fun papers are from Pink Petticoat & are the most amazing collection of papers EVER !!! They have dots & stripes & plaids & ginghams & lots of other designs & they come in 52 colors. I just bought a few to try but you get a lot for a small amount of money. I LOVE being able to print out that one sheet of blue stripe when I want it instead of driving 45 miles to the nearest scrapbook store to get it & I have done that !!! I’m sure I’m going to go thru the ink but for me this is so worth it …

P1010811

And this is what happens when you put the two together !!!  I LOVE this combination !!!  I wish I knew what this little cuties name is.
I colored her with Copics & I see now she’s weighing down my ribbon, guess I better fix that …
