In my back yard

I had some extra papers on my desk from my last post so decided to make another card from the same collection. Did I mention I LOVE these digi papers !! I printed an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet & a 6 x 6 of the same pattern & love the different look of them … I showed them both so you can see the difference in print. Thank you once again Paula & Sharon for telling me how to do that … There are so many different papers in these digi sets it’s hard to choose which ones to use.

I took my cards out on the deck to photograph them & noticed a couple of squirrels in the yard & a pair of ducks in our little pond. Thought I would share them with you … The squirrel is at the top on the right side of the pond & one duck is hiding in the cattails we planted a few years ago. As soon as we get some sunshine everything will start growing & blooming … You can click on the little pictures to see them close up.

P1030457      P1030478

A pair of Mallard ducks & one of our MANY squirrels on the feeder I made with a little help from my daughter & the boss. With their own private diner the squirrels now leave the bird feeders alone.

On to my card !!!

P1030444

I just love this simple card. It was so easy to put together just using some of the embellished pieces from the Nitwits Time For Tea & a few hand made flowers  …

I’m entering this in the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge “Flowers”

P1030440

Don’t think I should have shown this close-up cuz it shows all my crooked mistakes … The flower is made from a rolled flower die & the “leaves” under it is a Marianne Poinsettia die. Little Miss mini Tilda is colored with Copics to match & she chose to sit on that fun little Anastaseia border from Cheery Lynn. The tiny teapot & cup charm is another treasure from that wonderful lady Gloria.  These cards just wouldn’t be complete with this cute embellishment …

Best be getting to bed so I can work on some designer card samples for Dutch Paper Crafts tomorrow & get them sent off to her. Darlene is a wonderful lady to work for & I must get busy on them before I get any thing else done. She offers a nice discount & her shipping is super fast..

  16. OMG Janie, these two cards are BEAUTIFUL! How easy for someone so talented as you to just come back and jump right into coloring your Tildas and making lovely cards! I love the DPs and colors! You've matched Tilda's outfit perfectly and this is one of my favorite colors...lavender/purple! What color is the green/aqua? I want to try this color combo! Your pond is beautiful and it's so nice to see "nature" in your own backyard! So, when did you say you'll be at home so I can come to visit and craft with you? How about Ruth Ann? Just kidding...but I could probably take a nap out there!!!
    Warm Hugs,
    Cami

  19. Thank you for your kindly comments on my blog :-)
The Z-shape card is really easy to make. You use a 12x12 paper, mark 4" up on the left and 6" on the right side of the paper. Cut between these marks. Fold your card at 4" and 8" ("out" and "in") to make the Z. Use an edge punch on the top to get a nice pattern. The same edge punch can be used as details on other parts of the card.

I love your garden ! Do you have any fishes in your pond ? My mother has a pond too with fishes, and they survive during the winter (which is good, because here in Norway it can be really cold during the winter)
