More Coffee Cup cards

Here are a couple more Coffee Cup cards I made with my Cricut & decorated with designer paper of gingham & Martha Stewart patterns. I used some Prima flowers & attatched a little rose in the center that I got from Wild Orchid Crafts & a pearl in the other ... Also used some pretty sheer ribbon from my stash & tied a nice bow made with my wonderful Bow Easy. I never could make a decent bow until one of my online friends suggested I try a Bow Easy. Never again do I attempt to try making them without it & can make any size bow I need ...
Hope you enjoy these cute little cards as much as I enjoyed making them ... I give credit to Mary from Cardztv for the idea & the little sentiment that was computer generated & is so fitting for the card ...

Henry Mouse Pizza box

Hi everyone, I saw these cute little pizza boxes over on Bev's blog & thought I'd give them a try. They were quite easy to make using my Score-Pal & some card stock. The box is 4 x 4 & will hold several 3 & 1/2 x 3 & 1/2 note cards that I will put inside for someone to use ... I used one of my Henry Mouse stamps & colored him with Copics.
I'll make the note cards & post them later.
Hugs, Janie

Create a Critter Koala

Good morning, today I'm showing a little card I made with my new Create a Critter cartridge ... This is the cutest, easiest cartridge to use. I used the Koala bear ...
There are so many adorable little critters to make ... With this cartridge you don't have to cut out all the tiny pieces to paste together. You just cut out layers & then glue them together.

I used my favorite Stampin Up cardstock & the DP is from a the new Flower Shower DCWV Spring stack that I bought at JoAnn's (on sale).
Hope you enjoy this card as you will be seeing more "Critters" in a few days.
Thanks for stopping by & feel free to leave a comment if you like.

Shaped Cup card

The inside of my Cup card ...

I made this cute little shaped card using "A Child's Year" Cricut cartridge. I was so inspired after watching Mary over at CardzTV
She's simply amazing ....
For the outside of my card I used some Paper Pizazz DP & Bazzil cardstock. Sentiments were computer generated & flowers & ribbon are from my stash.

The little gingham checks are from Craft Creations in England ... My dear friend Bev from across the pond told me where to find them & I bought some of every color so you'll be seeing it often on my cards... I can always count on Bev & Sharon to help me find anything I need ...

Magnolia recipe card

A few months ago I talked my daughter into taking a Cricut class so she could learn to use the gift her sister & I bought for her. (She's always too busy going 90 miles an hour with a husband, kids, work & a busy military life.) I found a scrapbook shop in her area with an upcoming class right away. Sooooo, just to please me, my daughter half-heartedly signed up for it... She went & was hooked !!!

A couple of weeks later, she called & said they were having a recipe card class & since she loved the little Magnolia Chef Tilda & Edwin that I had colored for a card, she asked if I might help her make a page for her class using them. Being the good Mom that I am, I assured her I would LOVE to help!!! Little did I know she didn't need just ONE recipe page she needed 12 of them!!! All the ladies in the class had to make 12 of the same recipe card page to give to each other and they would keep one for themselves. At the end of the swap, they would each have a dozen recipe cards so they would pretty much have a complete recipe book finished after one class. My daughter said they had several weeks to get them finished, so right away I busted out my Cricut & used the "From My Kitchen" cartridge & started cutting things out. (What a WONDERFUL cartridge that is!) Everything on this recipe card - except the Tilda & Edwin - was made with that cart. Once I'd made up my mind (which is a major feat in itself), it took me quite awhile to cut & ink everything up. I had piles of little eggs and mittens and spatulas everywhere! Then I had 24 little "Chefs" to color & cut out - Whew! That was hard work... I got most of them finished but had several left to cut out before my hands finally gave out and I had to get it in the mail to send to her for her swap. I put one page together so she could follow my example and then I bagged everything up separately and sent it to her to put together. Her 10-year-old son, Ryan, helped her set up an assembly line and the two of them knocked them out together. (I think Ryan only wanted to help out so he could go with her to sample the food they were each bringing.)
My daughter called & thanked me and said she never dreamed it could be so hard to put a page together - LET ALONE MAKE 12 PAGES! My daughters do soooo much for me that it pleases me when I can do something to help them ...

Thanks for stopping by & I'd love it if you'd leave a comment about something that inspired you to make one of your creations ...

She's Somebody's Hero

A few years ago my daughter made this beautiful video for me & she just posted it on my blog so I can remember some of the wonderful memories our family has made. A short time after her Dad walked her down the aisle he was injured in an accident & was left paralyzed. He still continues to help everyone by sharing his years of knowledge with all of us. He's taught us to build birdhouses, planters & install backyard sprinker sysyems. Never use the term "I can't" around him cuz he'll show you YOU CAN !!!
Thank you Theresa, for putting so many memories in a 3 minute video ... I'll cherish this always ... I've certainly never done anything to be a Hero but my daughters make me feel like one ...

Teddy with Flower

I used the "Teddy with Flower" stamp from Lili of the Valley for my card today.
I LOVE every one of those adorable little bears !!! I used some double sided DP from Colorbok called Sage Stripe ... It's a heavy weight paper that is super nice to use. All the wonderful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Leaf punches are Martha Stewart & Quickutz. I also used a metal flower with a brad in the center ... My sweet online friend Bev over at suggested we whack them with a hammer to flatten them out so they will lay properly. She's so smart !!! It worked. Thanks Bev ... I colored the image with Copics & cut it out with my oval Nestabilities...
Have a great day & stop by again,

This is a very simple Graduation card I made for a special young lady that will graduate in a few days. I used a Cuttlebug folder to emboss the front of it & didn't want to hide the embossed words so didn't add much on it. I stamped the little Tilda graduating girl with Memento ink & colored her with my usual Copics & then popped everything up on foam tape for a little added dimension. I used a spellbinders label 7 that looks like an open book for the inside sentiment which I did on the computer. I again used my foam tape to hold up the "page" so it could be used for a money or gift holder ...
Thanks for stopping by ...
