Flower Soft Hedgehog

Happy Tuesday to you all …
For today’s post (and it’s a long one) I decided to do something a little different than my usual cards … I found a wonderful lady who showed me how to use Flower Soft on projects so you’ll be seeing a few images I used that fun technique on in the near future… I LOVE learning new things although my checkbook usually takes a hit  when I do (sorry Jay), but it makes me happy to figure out how to make something fresh with the stamps & supplies I already have. So see that’s kind of like saving money…  Now there’s a woman’s logic for you !!!P1010606
This little image was already colored & all we had to do was add the Flower Soft. Simple easy little application & it totally changed the whole look of the little Hedgehogs & the leaves. Gonna be using this for future projects. I can just see it on my little Tilda’s flower baskets & the tiny flowers in some images I have. Can’t wait to give them a try … P1010597
I punched all the extra leaves that I added to the card as embellishments & then stickled some & curled others … I colored a few with my Copics using  YG95, YR23 & YR16 … The “Happy Autumn” sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink … P1010595
The image is from Flower Soft & is called Hedgerow Friends.
Here’s a close up of the leaves … I think I like it !!!
Don’t know where I got this sentiment stamp but it’s been in my stash for a looong time …. This began as a regular card but I decided to turn it into an easel & then had to search my brain for that one piece of DP that had leaves on it that I KNEW I had in my craft room … If any of you saw my craft room paper supply you’d know why this was a MAJOR feat ..  I have a LOT of paper !!! But I was determined & although it’s been a year since I needed paper with fall leaves I found it & did the happy dance !!! One day I’m going to master the Digi papers then I won’t have that problem. I can just go to a digi paper site & purchase a piece of the exact color & print I want & I will have it instantly … right Sharon & Bev ? You gals always SAY how easy it is but although I’ve downloaded a few digi stamps I just can’t figure out the paper thing. I’m not giving up tho !!! Those 2 ladies make the most AMAZING cards with digi papers. What am I saying, they make the most AMAZING cards PERIOD !!! P1010600
I used a Martha Stewart fence punch for a little extra & the punch at the bottom is an EK Sucess punch called Scalloped Scallops that Mary over at Cardz TV uses on so many of her cards. So of course I HAD to have one … The Happy Thanksgiving sentiment is cut out with a Spellbinders die & popped up on foam tape that I buy at WalMart in the hardware section … Mary told me about that too .. It’s much cheaper than the same roll you buy in the craft department … Now figure that one out … P1010555
Believe it or not my mailbox is in there SOMEWHERE … I have a very nice postman & he just reaches thru the leaves to deliver my mail .. These sunflowers are about 8 feet tall …P1010608
P1010610 Sorry for the long post but since it’s fall & these things won’t be here much longer I just want to add a couple of pictures of things I love in my yard … We wait all year for things to bloom & be beautiful & then before we know it it freezes & they’re gone …
Ok enough rambling for today. Thanks for stopping by & letting me chat. If you have time I’d love it if you’d leave a little comment to let me know you were here  …

Tilda Under The Mistletoe

Hello ladies, I know some of you are probably getting tired of seeing nothing but Tilda cards so the next card I make will be something different … I’m afraid I’m totally addicted to these cute little images & might have bought stock in the company (sorry Jay if you’re reading this) if I’d known they were going to keep making the next ones even cuter than the last collection …

P1010589 This is a side view of my easel card … I LOVE making those cuz you can see so much more but they also fold down like a regular card.

P1010586 Tilda is colored with Copics in traditional Christmas colors & the papers I used are Stampin Up & a great specialty fall & Christmas pack of DP by Cloud 9 design … It’s got lots of glitter & bling for the holidays …  My ribbon is from JoAnn’s & the double bow is made using the Bow Easy which I love once I remember how to use it again …

This is a close up of the flowers I made using the Nellie Snellen punch that punches & embosses …. Gee I MUST love that punch as I used it on my last card I posted … It is a great punch with the embossed look I think but you don’t HAVE to emboss them if you choose not to...

P1010582 More Nellie Snellen flowers & the wonderful Martha Stewart border punch. This has to be my favorite of all her punches .

I got a little carried away with pictures this evening but I just love my punches & wanted to share … I have some friends that are coming over in about a week for a “ Play Day” so we can all learn to make different flowers from punches & dies. We learn a little from each other & do a pot luck & just enjoy spending time doing what we love …

Thanks for spending time seeing what I do … Your comments are never expected but always welcome …

hAnglar you’ve got “Purse-onality”

I am the luckiest “purse-on” to have not only one but 2 wonderful ladies that have stamped & sent me some of these amazing little hAnglar images to color …
I received this sweet little hAnglar “girl with purse” along with quite a few others from a wonderful lady named Gloria who stamped & mailed them to me from the east coast.  She does such an incredible job coloring them & I hope you pop on over to check out her blog

I colored this image with my Copics & used some Nellie Snellen punches for the flowers along with a Wild Orchid rose that I airbrushed to match with my new ABS system …

The purse charm came from the Charm Barn where I buy many of the
adorable little charms I use on my cards ...

These flowers are made using the Nellie Snellen punches I got from 7 Kids college Fund … They are AMAZING !!! You punch them with one punch & then emboss them with the other.

I wish I would have picked my paper 1st before I colored her so she would have matched better but I just started coloring & before I knew it she was finished. Then I had to try to find DP to go with her.  It doesn't match as well as I'd like but it will do ...

For the inside of my card I used this fun sentiment & a little purse from a Stampin Up set
& paper pieced it ….
I’ve never tried that & it was quite easy & made the purse have a little more “purse-onality” ...
Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing another little card I’ve made to share today ….
Please feel free to leave a comment so I know you've stopped by ...
