Let it Snow

I know we’re all ready for some spring weather but wanted to share a Christmas card I made but never sent … I’m good at that, just ask my daughters or my friends !!!

I wish I could say I colored this little cutie but it’s a precolored LOTV image I won in a set from the ever so sweet & generous Bev Rochester … This lady is amazing & if you aren’t already following her you should treat yourself to a visit to her blog .. I used some wonderful Christmas paper I have been saving as it was too pretty to cut into. Anyone else ever do that !!! Added some stickles, matted it & popped it up on foam tape on top of a beautiful snowflake I cut in half so it was poking out both sides cuz it was too pretty to hide.

The flowers are WOC & always make a quick easy embellishment for any card. The pretty dotted ribbon was a gift from Sharon who felt sorry for me when she heard I was searching every where for it. The tiny cones were gathered on my walk … I love FINDING cool things to add to my cards. You never know what I might use …

I dipped he flowers in some chunky Twinklets for a little BLING !!!

The inside is decorated with a couple of my favorite Cheery Lynn dies & a Doily die I got from Darlene at Dutch Paper Crafts. She has wonderful fast service & is one of the nicest ladies to deal with.

Thanks for stopping by to see what makes me happy !!!

Hugs, Janie

Happy Birthday to me !!!

I don’t normally announce to the world that it’s my Birthday but I had such a great day I just HAVE to share it. I’ve just found out I’ve been selected to join The wonderful team at The Paper Shelter as part of the DT with this great bunch of ladies today & am doing the “Happy Dance” all over the house & since it is my Birthday that makes it twice as SPECIAL !!!
I am seriously over the moon as it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for quite awhile but just didn’t think I was ready !!! Well, guess I’d better get ready cuz it’s time to get the out the paper, stamps, ribbon & Copics & see if they still work. … I need to put the Team girls names & all blog information on here but think that may have to wait till morning. My husband took me all over Tucson today & said whatever you want to do it’s YOUR day … So I chose Michael’s & JoAnns to see what fun embellishments I could get to go with what I already have … Picked up a couple new Ott Lamps so I can see better … Had a nice lunch so now I think I’m ready to kick back , pull my sleeves up & get down to business. Can’t wait to meet all you ladies & a some new ones along the way. I’ll post something tomorrow & put the teams on here so you will know who I will be working with. I also need to go shopping in the wonderful Paper Shelter store & pick out some digis to start making my projects with. They have a lot of wonderful images so it’s going to be hard to chose.
I’ll see you tomorrow & thanks for stopping by.
Happy hugs from my heart, Janie

Because you’re my sister

I haven’t posted for awhile as I have been on “vacation” but am ready to get back into the swing of things.

After I looked at this it looked a little bare so I added a little more bling !!! That is NOT where I meant to put the butterfly but once I sat him down with glue on him, he wasn’t moving !!!

The Paper Shelter is having a DT call & I’d like to enter with this card & candle I made with a digital image of theirs. I LOVE working with digi stamps & as you can see I have flipped this one so the “girls” are looking at each other. I’ve heard my daughters say this to each other & made me think of them & smile … I’m going to take a few more pictures in better lighting but wanted to get this posted as the DT call ends in a few minutes. Nothing like waiting till the last minute.

I’d like to enter this for the DT at The Paper Shelter

A few small pearls, a Memory Box Butterfly & Cheery Lynn Corner die I got from Darlene at Dutch Paper Crafts … That lady has the fastest delivery time & great prices …

 P1050399          P1050393

This is the front & the back of the candle …The one on the left is colored like my daughter, Theresa who is a red head & the one on the right is Bridgette who is a light brown/blond … Not a very good job coloring but I was just playing & the colors really are more bright. Next time I’ll go for brighter !!!

Here’s a close-up of this Cheery Lynn Sunflower die & a few leaves from “Build a Flower” … I’m HOOKED on these dies & you will see more flowers as I learn to make them.

Thanks for stopping by for a little peek at what I enjoy doing ..

Hugs, Janie
